Frequently asked questions

Here we answer the most frequently asked questions in advance.

I have received a prescription from my doctor – what should I do with it?

Get in touch with us as soon as possible! Please use our contact form or call us directly. Firstly, because a prescription for persons with statutory health insurance is valid for 28 days from the date of issue, after which it is invalid. Prescriptions issued by the Employer’s Liability Insurance Association are valid for 7 days from the date of issue. And secondly, so that we can help you promptly with your complaints.

Do I need to pay a co-payment?

Yes, if you are at least 18 years old and not exempt from the statutory co-payments, you will have to pay a surcharge of ten percent of the treatment costs plus ten euros per prescription to the practice where you fill your prescription.

Can I be exempted from the co-payment?

You only have to make co-payments up to a certain burden limit in a calendar year. This is two percent of your annual gross family income. If you have a serious chronic illness, the limit is one percent. Collect your receipts and submit them to the health insurance fund.

What should I bring to the treatment?

We ask you to bring x-rays and/or medical reports (e.g. from CT or MRI scans), if available, so that the therapists can get an accurate picture directly. In individual cases, you may need to wear sporty or comfortable clothing. Your therapist will inform you. If you are exempt from co-payments by your health insurance company, please show us the corresponding ID card.

Will I always be treated by the same Therapist?

We try to find one therapist for a treatment series if possible.

What do I do if I can’t keep an Appointment?

For our patients, we always try to make our scheduling as efficient as possible. Therefore, a cancellation should only be made in urgent cases, but at least 24 hours before the treatment, so that there is an opportunity to offer the appointment that has become free to a patient on our waiting list. If you are absent from an agreed appointment without timely cancellation, we will be forced to charge you privately for the full amount of the missed appointment, as permitted by law. In your own interest, you should come on time, otherwise the treatment can only be carried out in a shortened time.

Who can write me a prescription?

Your family doctor, specialist or dentist can give you a prescription for physiotherapy.

Are there parking spaces nearby?

Yes, we have our own parking spaces directly in front of our practice, which is located in the inner courtyard, marked PRAXIS on the ground. If these are occupied, please do not park in the private car parks of other businesses, but use public car parks. Our premises are on the raised ground floor, so there are 5 steps to climb.
